Cindy Fornelli Becomes a LinkedIn Influencer

By Michael Cohn
January 17, 2014

Cindy Fornelli, the executive director of the Center for Audit Quality, has long been an influential person in the accounting profession and is a perennial member of Accounting Today’s annual list of the Top 100 Most Influential People.

Cindy Fornelli

But now she is officially a “LinkedIn Influencer” as well. She has joined a select group of thought leaders who have been chosen to participate in LinkedIn’s Influencers program, joining other luminaries like Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic (and now Virgin Galactic), as well as Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase, Bill Gates of Microsoft and Sallie Krawcheck, formerly of Bank of America.

Fornelli’s initial column, “Chasing Perfection in Corporate Disclosure” appeared on LinkedIn on Friday morning, and she plans to continue writing on topics related to auditing and corporate governance. She also plans to share some of her experiences as a former securities lawyer as well as a working mother and nonprofit board member. We’ll be watching for future entries.
