The Institute of Management Accountants has announced the winners of its two academic awards, the 2012 Emerging Scholar and IECJ Case Competition.

The winner of the IMA Research Foundation Emerging Scholar Award is William B. Tayler, Ph.D., of Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. The award recognizes an exceptional manuscript of a single scholar (or lead author) in management accounting. Dr. Tayler received a plaque, a $2,500 cash prize, and complimentary registration to IMA’s 94th Annual Conference & Exposition in New Orleans next June.

“We’re pleased to recognize the accomplishments of Dr. Tayler, whose work has made significant and lasting contributions to advancing the management accounting research field,” said IMA Research Foundation chair Vairam Arunachalam.
