The "Fair Value Measurements" session will focus on fair value valuation approaches, methods, and procedures related.
"When the IRS Challenges Your Business Valuation" will cover how the IRS selects valuation issues to examine and how to handle valuation examinations as well as common errors appraisers make. Howard Lewis, executive director of the Institute of Business Appraisers, a partner organization of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, will deliver the speech, in which he will discuss how the IRS selects valuation issues to examine, offer tips on how to prepare for valuation examinations, and point out some common errors appraisers make.
