Illinois CPAs step up

A record number of CPAs – over 1,350 – turned out for the Illinois CPA Society’s 7th Annual CPA Day of Service on Sept. 23, teaming up at events around the state to help with community gardening, packaging food for families in need, collecting books and learning materials for children and a host of other activities.

Among the organizations volunteers visited were Habitat for Humanity, the DuPage Children’s Museum in Naperville, the Ronald McDonald Houses of Chicago and Oak Lawn, Feed My Starving Children in Aurora, Bernie’s Book Bank in Lake Bluff, and the Chicago Park District.

Here are some of the highlights of the day.
