The Indiana CPA Society, Indianapolis, named its new board of directors, including Doug York, of Moss & Co., as chair, for a one-year term. LOUISIANA

Postlethwaite & Netterville, Baton Rouge, received a Marketing Achievement Award from the Association for Accounting Marketing for accomplishment in launching an integrated branding program, based on a new brand identity unveiled in February. The firm accepted the award during the AAM 2017 Summit in Las Vegas in June.

MISSOURI

Anders CPAs + Advisors, St. Louis, has unified its technology affiliate under its central brand, ending its previous marketing as a separate name and logo, most recently as Inflexion. For existing technology clients, only the name will change, and Anders accounting and advisory clients will have quicker and easier access to the technology arm.

RubinBrown, St. Louis, released its eighth annual Gaming Statistics Report, which shows the nation’s collective gaming industry grew at an annual rate of 2 percent in 2016, generating $73.1 billion and marking seven years of consecutive growth for the industry. The full report is available here.

NEW YORK

More than 100 Berdon partners, principals and managers participated in a firm retreat in Hamburg, N.J., where they heard from motivational speaker Dan Nevins, a member of the Wounded Warrior Project who shared his personal story of injury by improvised explosive device. Berdon members also built 11 bicycles for children of wounded warriors in local communities, which they then presented to the families. Team members were assigned specific roles in the building process and two people were tasked with assembling the bicycle blindfolded.

NIGERIA

The former Partners of WTS ADEBIYI & Associates, Lagos and Abuja, became a member firm of international association Andersen Global, operating under the name Andersen Tax and marking Andersen Tax’s debut in Africa.

PENNSYLVANIA

Joseph Seibert, partner at KPMG, Harrisburg, was elected president of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, Harrisburg. The other elected officials are: Stephen A. Christian, a director of Kreischer Miller, as president-elect; Jill E. Gilbert, partner with RKL LLP, as vice president; Valerie Trott Williams, an assistant professor of accounting at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, re-elected as vice president; and Martin C. Levin, managing director of RLB Accountants, re-elected as treasurer.

Schneider Downs announced the availability of cloud CPM suite BI360 Cloud, built on and for Microsoft Azure as a modern reporting, budgeting, dashboards and data warehouse. BI360 is available for cloud and on-premise deployment.

The Association of Chartered Accountants, London, announced a 5.5 percent increase in membership, growing the ACCA to more than 198,000 and 486,000 students in 180 countries.
