Sensiba San Filippo, Pleasanton, has partnered with ERP provider Intacct to provide the automated accounting and financials solution to its consulting clients.

Andersen Global, San Francisco, announced the appointment of its global board of directors, led by global chairman and CEO Mark Vorsatz. Joining him are: Bill Amon, office managing partner of Andersen Tax in Los Angeles; Delphine Bariani, partner at STCPartners in Paris; Ilan Ben-Eli, lead partner of Andersen Tax in Tel Aviv, Israel; Pablo Ibanez, managing partner of legal services at Andersen Tax & Legal in Mexico City; Joseph Karczewski, U.S. central region managing director in Chicago; Ellen MacNeil, managing director of U.S. national tax in Washington, D.C.; Jaime Olleros, managing partner of Andersen Tax & Legal in Madrid; Dorice Pepin, managing director at Andersen Tax in Chicago; and Joseph Toce, U.S. east region Managing director in New York.

Squar Milner, Los Angeles, announced three partners and all of the associates of Sobelman, Cohen, Moss & Associates will be joining Squar Milner in the Encino office, bolstering the L.A. presence for the firm, which also has offices in West Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and the Cayman Islands. The partners joining the firm include Mike Sobelman, Helaine Cohen and Liana Tovmasyan.

COLORADO

EKS&H has moved its headquarters to the Denver Tech Center, in a six-story, LEED-certified building at 8181 E. Tufts Ave. Ste. 600 in Denver. The new headquarters, with technology improvements and features to improve health and wellness for the firm’s 700 employees, joins the firm’s other offices in Boulder, Fort Collins, downtown Denver and San Francisco.

KANSAS

Mize Houser & Co., Topeka, announced the creation of the Mize Restaurant Group brand to serve the firm’s niche of restaurants and breweries, which represent 50 percent of the firm’s revenues. The firm will retain the existing Mize Houser & Co. brand.

Fifteen members of Rodman CPAs, Plymouth and Waltham, volunteered a day of service to clean up the grounds of Camp Clark, an Old Colony YMCA-sponsored recreation camp in Plymouth on June 12. The team included partners Steve Rodman and Kathy Parker. (Read the full story.)

Plante Moran launched a new website designed to offer a fresh look and easy navigation, along with being mobile-friendly and compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The redesigned site, which also has advanced search and tagging features, includes the sites its affiliated entities: Plante Moran CRESA, Plante Moran Living Forward, Plante Moran Real Estate Investment Advisors and Plante Moran Wealth Management.

NEW JERSEY

Marks Paneth celebrated the opening of the firm’s expanded Parsippany office location with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for clients, colleagues, Morris County officials and New Jersey business community members. One of seven locations for the New York City-headquartered firm, the office is located at 8 Campus Drive in the Mack-Cali Business Campus and primarily provides tax and audit services to commercial businesses, high-net-worth individuals and family offices, along with litigation support services for attorneys.

The New Jersey Society of CPAs, Roseland, released a new economic survey that found the most pressing concern, for the 493 members who responded, was the state’s budget deficit and credit rating, which ranked as the highest concern for 23 percent of respondents. Following that, the next-highest concern for NJSCPA members was the implications of health care reform (for 17 percent of respondents). More than 75 percent of the NJCPA survey respondents believe economic conditions in New Jersey would be either worse (33 percent) or about the same (43 percent) one year from now, while only 25 percent believe it would be better.

Marcum, New York, announced Chelsea Clinton will be the featured speaker at the 2017 Marcum Women’s Forum, a breakfast event geared to high-net-worth and executive women, featuring nationally prominent women speakers, in New York City Oct. 27. Now in its second year, the conference is presented by Marcum’s Family Wealth Services practice and the Marcum Women’s Initiative and net proceeds will benefit the Marcum Foundation.
