Maner Costerisan, Lansing, received the 2018 Rookie of the Year award at AvidXchange’s annual Partner Connect and Revolution Users’ Conference in Chicago. AvidXchange, which automizes invoice and payment processes, recognized best-of-breed partners who are consistently engaged, actively referring leads, and driving new joint customers.

KRS CPAs, Paramus, was honored with a 2018 Inc. Best Workplaces Award, recognizing successful small and midsized businesses that value company culture, offer standout employee benefits, and prioritize employee well-being.

NEW YORK

The American Institute of CPAs announced the winners of the 2017 Elijah Watt Sells Award, bestowed this year upon 58 CPA candidates who have obtained a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the CPA Examination, passed all four sections of the Examination on their first attempt and completed testing in 2017. Freed Maxick, Buffalo, is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a variety of events and programs, including “60 for 60,” where firm leadership will meet one-on-one with 60 local students and assist them with resumes, skill building and professional development. Freed Maxick will also be sharing its “60 Snapshots of Success,” highlighting 60 employees and why they choose to be a part of the firm.

EisnerAmper, New York, was honored with a 2017 When Work Works Award, honoring outstanding workplaces as part of the Society for Human Resource Management’s national program. The award recognizes employers of all sizes across the country that are excelling at a variety of employee-focused initiatives such as opportunities for learning, a culture of respect and trust, compensation, job autonomy, advancement opportunities, work-life balance and more.

Margolin, Winer & Evens, Garden City, held its second-annual Escape the Office challenge, pitting 15 teams against one another to complete a series of carnival-themed games in 30 minutes or less to win prizes. The activity was planned as a post-tax season stress reliever.
