RSM, Chicago, announced a $157,100 gift from the RSM US Foundation to the University of Iowa, which will be used to establish the school’s RSM Excellence Fund, designated for a variety of initiatives in the accounting department in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.

Topel Forman, Chicago, joined Moore Stephens North America as a member firm of the association.

MISSOURI

Anders CPAs + Advisors, St. Louis, launched a new tax reform resource center, designed to help individuals, families and businesses navigate the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The Anders Tax Reform resource center, which includes videos broken down into important changes for individuals and businesses, industry-specific outlines and blog posts addressing specific areas of the new tax law, is accessible here.

NEW YORK

UHY, Niskayuna, presented The Foundation for Ellis Medicine with a $2,500 grant to support the Bringing Baby Home initiative at Ellis Medicine’s Bellevue Woman’s Center. The donation will provide for the purchase of 33 new infant car seats to be made available to new parents in great need of the equipment after giving birth.

CohnReznick, New York, announced a new corporate logo and brand identity system. The firm also changed its service line descriptor to “Advisory/Assurance/Tax.” A look at the change is available in this firm video.

PENNSYLVANIA

Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, Philadelphia, was named Corporate Partner of the Year by the National Association of Black Accountants, Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Chapter. The award was presented during the 39th Annual Evening with NABA Scholarship and Awards Reception April 27 at the Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel in Maryland. The firm was recognized for its diversity initiative, the cornerstone of which is its Supporting Opportunity, Advancement and Recognition for all (SOAR) program.
