Julie Keim, a principal at BerryDunn, has been elected chair/president of the board of the Telergee Alliance, a national network of CPA firms serving the telecommunications industry, for a two-year term.

MARYLAND

Larry Davis has succeeded Jeffery Capron as managing partner of Aronson LLC. Davis joined the firm in 1994, and founded Aronson Capital Partners, an M&A advisor, in 2000. Capron, who served as MP from 2010 through 2016, will remain with the firm and continue to assist in meeting client needs and executing strategic growth initiatives. In addition, the firm named four new partners: Jeffrey Gershen of the Tax Services Group, Jorge Rodriguez of the Tax Services Group, Tim Schmitt of the Financial Advisory Services Group and Aronson Capital Partners, and Chris Vasquez of the Construction & Real Estate Services Group.

Kenneth Field and John Higgins joined EisnerAmper LLP, Princeton, as managing directors, bringing with them the entire staff of Field & Higgins in a combination of the two firms, effective January 1.

Marqus White was promoted to partner at Sax LLP. He was formerly the director in charge of electronic tax filing and tax software implementation and will continue to serve as the tax lead on the not-for-profit industry services group.

Rajiv Banker was named recipient of the 2017 AAA Lifetime Contribution Award by the American Institute of CPAs, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. Banker is the Merves Chair and Director of the Center for Accounting and Information Technology, Fox School of Business, Temple University. The Lifetime Contribution Award recognizes professionals who have made significant contribution to management accounting education, research and practice and is sponsored by the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation. Banker was presented with the award at the 2017 AAA Management Accounting Section mid-year conference in San Juan.

WASHINGTON

Kimberly D. Scott has been appointed the next president and CEO of the Washington Society of CPAs, effective June 1, 2017. Scott joined the WSCPA in 2000 and has served in various senior leadership roles throughout the organization. As vice president of government and member relations since 2013, she oversees advocacy, membership, college and student relationships, chapters, networking functions, financial education and communications. Since 2009, she has also served as executive director of the Washington CPA Foundation.
