Intuit Ranks on Influential Company List

Tax and accounting software vendor Intuit made BusinessWeek's list of the World's Most Influential Companies.

The magazine noted that Intuit's TurboTax brand owns almost 80 percent of the consumer tax preparation software market, while QuickBooks commands 90 percent of the small-business accounting software market. "As the public moves to filing their taxes online, the company aims to stay ahead of the curve by introducing Web-based tools for personal finance management," said the magazine.

Other companies on BusinessWeek's list include Apple, Unilever, JP Morgan Chase, Wal-Mart, News Corp., Toyota, Saudi Aramco, Monsanto, Huawei, Google, 3M, Autodesk, China Mobile, Jarden, Japan Steel Works, Nielsen, Microsoft, Sirius XM, YKK, Li & Fung, Facebook, HCL Technologies, Craigslist and SKS Microfinance.
