AIPCA, Intacct Launch Accountants Program

Las Vegas (May 4, 2009)

On-demand accounting software developer Intacct and the American Institute of CPAs’ CPA2Biz subsidiary have introduced an Intacct Accountants Program that provides CPAs with free software, support and training, and the ability to set up clients on the software.

The two organizations formally launched the program at the 2009 AICPA Practitioners Symposium at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. It was originally announced last month (see AICPA Teams with Intacct on Cloud Computing).

The new program centers on the Intacct Accountant Edition, a version of Intacct’s on-demand financial management system that was also unveiled at the conference. The online software allows remote access at any time to shared financial information by CPAs and their clients.

Intacct and CPA2Biz plan to further enhance the Intacct Accountant Edition with material from the AICPA and CPA2Biz designed for both CPA firms and their clients, including financial best practices, business guidance and industry-specific templates.

Accounting firms that join the Intacct Accountants Program gain access to Intacct Accountant Edition, a cloud-based accounting system designed for CPA firms and their clients, with applications for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, order entry, purchase order, employee expenses, financial reporting, analytics and dashboards.

The Intacct Accountant's Console provides a CPA-focused console that enables practice managers to access financials for all of their clients from a single, centralized dashboard.

An unlimited number of accountants within a given firm can use Intacct, with no additional charge, to serve their clients. In addition, AICPA member firms may use Intacct as their firm's internal financial management system at no additional charge.

Intacct and CPA2biz will also provide sales and marketing resources to identify prospects and help accelerate the signing of new clients, according to Intacct, including access to the Intacct Partner Portal, unlimited demonstration accounts and direct sales support. The companies will also offer implementation assistance for the on-boarding of two new clients each year to transfer knowledge and help ensure CPA firm success.

The companies are also providing free classroom training and certification for two people per year, as well as unlimited access to all of Intacct's online training courses. Also on tap is access to Intacct's dedicated CPA firm partner support, including phone, e-mail and live chat.

For clients too large to use a firm’s client accounting services, the Intacct CPA Referral Program allows the firm to refer clients directly to Intacct, so the client may benefit from preferred program pricing.
