Technology consultancy Arxis Technology Inc., a major Sage and SAP partner, has joined the Intacct channel, adding to the growing line of cloud-based business technologies the firm represents.

As an Intacct Business Partner, Arxis will sell, implement, support and develop enhancements for Intacct’s cloud financial applications. Intacct is the latest addition to the firm’s Web-based products, which include SAP ByDesign, Adaptive Planning, and some of its own cloud services.

The partnership will also allow Arxis to address a growing need for cloud-based applications from its clients.

“We needed a well-rounded suite of [cloud] products, and we are now very well positioned to provide that for our clients,” said Arxis co-founder and principal David Cieslak. “We’ve been considering [Intacct] for a while, and as we continued working and understanding the cloud better, we’ve been making sure we have a sharp focus on the cloud and figuring out what products our customers are looking for and what our due diligence should be to vet those products.”

Cieslak believes that all the products represented by Arxis have an important place for his firm’s clients. Even among the firm’s cloud offerings, Intacct and ByDesign will not likely compete, he added.

“Intacct is well positioned for what I would deem the entry-level of the mid-market, so I don’t see them competing head to head [with ByDesign] much at all,” he said. “It’s not that ByDesign couldn’t go more down market, and they have, but I think they are re-positioning themselves for more mid to large enterprises. At the same time, our on-premises products are not going away. We are established there and continue to do well with them. But these are transitional times, and we want to continue to support, sell and work with the best products for our clients.”

Arxis also represents Sage ERP Accpac, MAS 90, 200, and 500, and SageCRM.
