By Michael Cohn, Accounting Today

CBIZ and its affiliated firm Mayer Hoffman McCann have started a blog dedicated to construction accounting topics.

This is the firms’ first foray into blogging. Geared towards CFOs and CEOs of construction companies, sureties, and anyone else involved in the financial aspects of the construction industry, the new blog will focus on accounting, financial and management topics.

The firm has many professionals who hold the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional credential. Whether something is currently affecting the construction industry or is expected to soon, the construction accounting experts at CBIZ and MHM will provide thoughts, overviews and links to articles and governmental sites in order to keep contractors across the country informed.

The blog will be led by Dave Allison, John Armour and Tony Stagliano. “Our goal with this site is to keep all construction industry professionals abreast of any major changes that will impact their business,” said Stagliano, who is the National Construction Industry practice leader for CBIZ and MHM. “These executives already have a tough job in trying to manage and maintain a profitable company during this uncertain economy. We can assist them by filtering through the news and delivering just what is relevant to their business.”
