By Michael Cohn

CCH has introduced new mobile apps providing access to several of its journals and newsletters from the Apple iPad, along with a new app aimed at tax students.

Among the new app titles are CCH’s Journal of Tax Practice and Procedure, Journal of State Taxation, Public Accounting Report and Sales & Use Tax Alert Newsletter. They join a previously released app for TAXES – The Tax Magazine. The apps are available for free from the Apple iTunes Store, but there is a charge for the content. Users of the apps can preview complimentary sample issues, read article descriptions and then purchase the specific issues they want.

Also new to the CCH iPad App lineup is the Tax in a Flash app built especially for students. The mobile study companion comes in a Q&A flash card format. The app features three study modules: Individual Federal Income Tax; Federal Tax Business Considerations; and Federal Estate, Gift and Other Tax Planning Considerations

The app itself is free, but students then purchase the specific modules that best meet their needs. For a limited time, college students and their instructors have the opportunity to receive a free trial as well as the ability to offer product reviews. More information is available by clicking www.CCHGroup.com/TaxFlash.

To see the complete lineup and links to the iTunes App Store, visit CCH’s new journal and newsletter apps page.
