CCH has enhanced its Global Integrator software for multinational corporations with improved currency conversion and audit trail features.

Global Integrator 7.1 is a component of the CCH Integrator suite of Web-based software. One of the main enhancements is an automated aggregation and currency conversion process for streamlining the preparation and review of group tax data. The software can now automatically build multi-level aggregated computations and currency conversions, refreshing calculations as figures are adjusted. New system enhancements strengthen tax payable account conversions to ensure calculation accuracy throughout tax accounting schedules.

Global Integrator’s existing audit trails have been enhanced to provide preparers, reviewers and auditors with the ability to view every single change that has been made in the preparation and sign-off of compliance or reporting data. Reviewers can identify all changes that have been made from the most recent review. Other improvements in auditing features include user configurable schedules that can be customized to process any specific data collection, calculation or reporting requirement.

The CCH Integrator suite also now streamlines the preparation of local tax returns in Global Integrator and connects with existing compliance tools in many countries.

“We’re seeing organizations face increasing scrutiny from revenue authorities around the world while also having to reduce compliance costs through staff reductions and improved operational efficiency,” said CCH director of corporate reporting solutions Jim Edwards in a statement.

Standard dashboard reports in Global Integrator now enable global, regional, country and entity level reporting on items such as effective tax rates, ETR drivers, computation status analysis and more. Users can now update several computations at once, enabling them to reconfigure calculations in bulk without opening each one separately.

Enhancements in error reporting the transparency and efficiency of bulk data operations in Global Integrator. Improved deferred roll-forward reconciliation provides a reconciliation of the current period movements on deferred accounts.

Layout improvements in the effective tax rate schedule provide greater transparency around state and federal tax rates, including a new calculation that details U.S. state or Canadian provincial tax expenses or benefits.

In addition, the user interface has a new look and feel as well as improved performance, allowing users to access more features with fewer clicks and easier navigation.

The Global Integrator technology also now fully complies with Microsoft Windows 2008 cloud-based and database servers.
