CCH has debuted a CCH eBooks app for the Apple iPad to provide tax research on the go to tax practitioners.
CCH’s mobile technology delivers direct eBook downloads to allow users to quickly find answers on their iPad for clients are counting on a rapid response.
“This streamlined solution enabling direct iPad downloads really saves time and boosts efficiency as it was designed based on extensive input and feedback from our customers,” said CCH director of electronic products, research and learning Tracy Mortenson in a statement. “The CCH eBooks app is our latest development in user-friendly delivery of expert guidance and content from any place at any time and, of course, more is on the way.”
Among the features are enhanced search navigation through each book and sections such as the table of contents, index and even annotations. Other features include the ability to personalize content with annotations, bookmarks and highlights; dual-pane viewing for comparing sections of two publications side-by-side; and the ability to select content and send emails directly from the app, enabling users to respond to questions from clients and colleagues on the spot Users also get an “open in” feature to use the app’s capabilities with personal documents.
Users can share eBook content with clients and colleagues through the app without ever leaving their place on a digital page. After identifying the content to share with others and sending emails, users automatically return to their original place without needing to find their way back to where they left off.
More than 100 CCH eBook titles are currently or will soon be available through the CCH eBooks app, including volumes such as CCH’s U.S. Master Tax Guide (2014), GAAP Guide (2014), Practical Guide to Estate Planning (2014), Internal Revenue Code/Income Tax Regulations Bundle (Winter 2014), and U.S. Master Depreciation Guide (2014).
The companion CCH eBooks desktop app is expected to be available later this year. Adobe Digital Editions will continue to be available from CCH to support other mobile devices as well as users who prefer that format for their desktop computers.
