Kreinik & Co. LLC, of Southbury, Conn., and Fiorita Kornhaas & Co. PC, of Danbury, have merged. The combination went into effect on Sept. 1, 2012.

Kreinik & Co. provides accounting, tax preparation, and business advisory services to individuals and owner-managed business clients. Fiorita Kornhaas & Co. also provides accounting services to individuals, as well as closely held and family owned companies, entrepreneurs and not-for-profit organizations.

“Besides enjoying the same level of exceptional customer service, my clients will now be able to avail themselves of a broader range of services to fit their needs, including audits and estate planning,” Theodore Kreinik, managing member and owner of Kreinik & Co., said in a statement.

In light of the deal, the two have agreed to operate under the name Fiorita Kornhaas & Co. PC.
