BDO USA LLP, Chicago, reported in a recent study that capital markets executives at leading investment banks are projecting measured growth in initial public offerings (IPOs) on U.S. exchanges in 2013. Half predict an increase in U.S. IPOs in the coming year. Just 18 percent expect a decrease in offerings on domestic exchanges. Overall, bankers predict a 6 percent increase in the number of U.S. IPOs in 2013. They anticipate these offerings will average $250 million, which projects to $34 billion in total IPO proceeds on U.S. exchanges. SOUTH CAROLINA

SuggsJohnson LLC, Anderson, will host a public reception to unveil the 2013 South Carolina Migratory Waterfowl Stamp on January 11 at the Anderson Arts Center. In addition to unveiling the 2013 stamp, the reception will feature an exhibition of the original artwork that has appeared on all South Carolina duck stamps since 1981 – the first time the entire collection of paintings has been displayed in a gallery setting. The reception will begin at 7 p.m. at the Arts Warehouse and will feature live music, catering hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soft drinks.  Free to Arts Center members, there will be a $10 admission fee to the reception for non-members, with proceeds going to support the Anderson Arts Center. Revenue from duck stamps, posters and prints benefit conservation and duck propagation programs in South Carolina and Canada.
