The Kansas Society of CPAs held a CPA Day at the Statehouse on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. The day will began with a proclamation from Governor Brownback declaring Jan. 17, 2013, Certified Public Accountant Education Day in honor of the KSCPA’s Educational Foundation’s 50 Anniversary.

To commemorate its founding the firm will be hosting a variety of activities throughout the year, including a tax season break bowling party, client cocktail reception, company picnic, staff contests, historical displays and a retro theme party for staff.

Ernst & Young LLP, New York, has received the award for Best Audit Services from the 2012 HFMWeek U.S. Hedge Fund Services Awards. The firm was also ranked as the top audit and accounting firm by Hedge Funds Review's 2012 Service Provider Rankings. The New York State Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Best Companies Group, an independent company managing Best Places to Work programs in states around the country, launched the program in New York in 2007.

PENNSYLVANIA

Schneider Downs, Pittsburgh, will move its corporate headquarters to One PPG Place in Downtown Pittsburgh in November 2013. The firm will move from its current offices at 1133 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, where it has resided since 1985.

VIRGINIA
