Baker Tilly International member firm, Baker Tilly Revisa, has merged with auditing firms Bompani Audit and Iter Audit. The mergers expand Baker Tilly Revisa’s presence across Italy, providing audit and consulting services in nine locations: Bologna (head office), Genoa, Milan, Brescia, Turin, Verona, Bolzano, Rome and Florence.

CONNECTICUT

The Governmental Accounting Standards Board launched an updated website that features more user-friendly navigation and “plain English” resources that provide extensive background on accounting and financial reporting issues for state and local governments. The site is found at www.gasb.org. … BlumShapiro, plans to partner once again with Christian Community Action to provide Thanksgiving Day meals to more than 2,300 families and seniors in New Haven.

FLORIDA

PwC US intends to acquire substantially all the assets of BGT, a digital consulting firm with offices in Miami, FL and Chicago, IL.  Combining BGT’s digital strategy, analytics, creative, and technology skills with PwC's Advisory business will strengthen PwC’s already robust capabilities to help companies create an enhanced experience for its customers. The deal is expected to close in November. … Goldstein Schechter Koch, has formed GSK Cares; a philanthropic fund managed by the Coral Gables Community Foundation.

GEORGIA

In celebration and commemoration of the firm’s 50 years in business, BNKJ is holding a 50 Weeks of Giving Campaign. It was created to give back to the community the firm has been servicing for half a century. It is planning to highlight – week by week – charities to receive a donation from the firm, as well as a radio spot to highlight the charity on WABE NPR Radio, 90.1 FM.
