Greatland Acquires ExpressTaxForms and ExpressChecks

Greatland Corporation has acquired ExpressInternetCompanies.com with its two brands ExpressTaxForms.com and ExpressChecks.com.

The two online brands provide small and midsize businesses with W-2 and 1099 forms, a specialty of Greatland’s, along with customized checks and other banking forms. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Portland, Ore.-based ExpressInternetCompanies.com has been operating ExpressTaxForms.com and ExpressChecks.com since 1997. Greatland plans to transition customers of both sites in the weeks ahead, and business operations will relocate to Greatland's Grand Rapids, Mich., headquarters. Greatland’s existing staff will handle the service and support for ExpressTaxForms.com and ExpressChecks.com clients. Prior to the acquisition, ExpressInternetCompanies.com had only two full-time employees.

Greatland plans to expand the range of product and service offerings for ExpressTaxForms.com and ExpressChecks.com customers, including full state reporting support, along with software and mobile apps to improve reporting efficiency.

"We are very pleased to be able to welcome ExpressTaxForms.com and ExpressChecks.com customers to the Greatland family,” said Greatland CEO Robert Nault in a statement. “They have been a trusted resource for small and mid-sized businesses for more than 16 years and we are looking forward to building on their established commitment to their customers. This move reflects our vision of being the national leader in W-2 and 1099 products and services, through organic customer growth and strategic acquisition.”

ExpressInternetCompanies.com was founded by Tom Brooks and has operated as a successful family business since the late 1990s. “While it is naturally difficult to let go of something I have put so much time and energy into over the years, I know Greatland will take exceptional care of my clients,” Brooks said in a statement. “They are an outstanding company that does business the right way.”
