A pair of dark-suited IRS agents visited a Sacramento car wash in search of 4 cents in unpaid taxes dating back to 2006, along with an extra $202.31 in penalties and interest.

Aaron Zeff, owner of Harvs Metro Car Wash, was amazed that the IRS would show up at his business in person to demand payment for such a small tax debt, and that the penalties and interest on 4 cents could grow so high.
Its hilarious that two people hopped in a car and came down here for just 4 cents, he told the Sacramento Bee. I think [the IRS] may have a problem with priorities.

He showed the newspaper a copy of a letter he received from the IRS in October 2009 stating that he had filed all the required returns and addressed any balance due. Zeff was also miffed that the IRS agents didnt bother to get their automobile cleaned while they were there.
