IRS Has Its Eyes on ‘Fockers’ Actress

The Internal Revenue Service has filed tax liens against actress Teri Polo, who plays Pam Focker in the hit Hollywood movie “Little Fockers.”

The IRS filed a lien for $116,620 against the 41-year-old actress in January 2010 in Los Angeles for unpaid income taxes from 2008, according to the Detroit News. That followed on the heels of previous IRS tax liens filed in Delaware in August 2009 for $114,844 in unpaid 2007 taxes and in February 2008 for $227,144 in unpaid 2005 and 2006 taxes. The state of California also filed a lien against her in April 2008 for $91,748 in unpaid taxes from 2005 and 2006, but lifted the lien in 2009.

Polo has played Ben Stiller’s wife and Robert De Niro’s daughter in the previous Focker comedies, “Meet the Parents” and “Meet the Fockers.”

Her manager told the Detroit News after it reported on her earlier tax troubles that she fell behind on paying taxes while going through an expensive divorce and raising her children during a break from her acting career. He said she was working out a payment plan with the IRS.
