KSDT Merges with Cohn & Sharp

Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos & Co. has plans to merge with Homestead, Fla.-based Conn & Sharp PA. The combination is expected to go into effect on December 1.

Conn & Sharp’s team of six will join KSDT Tax and Advisory Services Division and founding partners John Conn and Christi Sharp will become partners at the firm.

“Merging with KSDT enables us to provide our long-standing tax clients with complementary services, such as audits and business valuations, as well as an upgraded technology platform that improves the way in which we educate and interact with them,” founding partner John Conn said in a statement.

“We are excited to welcome to our firm such a well-established and respected practice and expand the reach of our services to individuals and businesses in a larger geographic area,” KSDT managing director Jeffrey Taraboulos said in a statement. “As our clients’ tax accounting and advisory needs increase, we expect to continue on with our current growth strategy and complete a minimum of one merger or acquisition per year.”
