Mahoney Sabol & Co. Merges in Robert L. Howard Practice

Mahoney Sabol & Co. LLP has merged in the practice of Robert L. Howard, Jr.

The merger will give Mahoney Sabol five professional staff specializing in municipal, quasi-governmental and not-for-profit specialty practice areas.

“We are very excited to welcome Rob and his team on board and look forward to expanding this robust part of our practice,” Mahoney Sabol managing partner James Mahoney said in a statement. “Mahoney Sabol now becomes the premier firm for not-for-profit entities and governmental organizations looking for high level assurance and consulting services and expertise within a regional firm fee structure.”

Howard is joining the firm as a partner directing its public sector practice. He specializes in providing audit and consulting services to non-profit and governmental organizations, including federal and state single audits.

“Joining Mahoney Sabol & Company, LLP is a tremendous opportunity for my team to build on our platform of unparalleled service and quality that we bring to the region’s not-for-profit and governmental organizations,” said Howard. “Our not-for-profit and government practices are an excellent fit with such a solid, quality firm, and we know that we, and our clients, will be happy in our new home.”

Prior to joining Mahoney Sabol, Howard was the New England government practice leader for Grant Thornton LLP, and spent nearly 20 years with CCR LLP where he was a partner and the director of governmental services.
