Sales tax automation provider Avalara has formed a strategic partnership with the accounting and consulting firm McGladrey.
Through the partnership, Avalara will work with McGladrey to provide systems that help companies effectively manage their sales tax reporting and compliance processes.
[IMGCAP(1)]“With increasing changes in sales tax, geo-location issues, and clients asking for the cost and functional benefits of cloud services, Avalara was a logical choice for us,” said McGladrey principal Steve Parish, the state and local tax leader for the firm. “Avalara also fits well with McGladrey's technology services and our mission of enabling customers to focus on their business. McGladrey consultants and sales tax specialists will work collaboratively with Avalara to address client needs."
Under the arrangement, McGladrey’s compliance and automation practice will be able to deliver additional software to middle-market clients using Avalara’s sales and use tax compliance systems for rate calculation, filing and returns, and exemption certificate management.
“Avalara appreciates that the bottom-line value in working with McGladrey is in improving clients’ experiences,” said Avalara executive vice president of sales and marketing Pascal Van Dooren in a statement. “We’re very excited about this partnership, and we appreciate McGladrey’s trust in Avalara to work with and handle their clients’ sales and use tax automation needs, with the added benefit of increasing clients’ efficiency and productivity.”
