Moss Adams Launches Joint Venture Serving Financial Institutions

Top 100 Firm Moss Adams LLP and Colorado-based financial services consulting firm Marquis Banking Partners LLC have entered into a joint venture agreement to create Moss Adams Marquis Banking Advisors LLC, which will provide strategic and operational consulting services to financial institutions across the nation.

“Moss Adams Marquis Banking Advisors is a powerful combination with unique experience and a keen understanding of how to navigate an increasingly complex financial services landscape,” said John Hancock, chair of the financial services practice for Moss Adams, in a statement. “We’re very pleased to have found a partner that understands our clients’ business goals, shares our values and will amplify the operational expertise we are able to offer financial institutions.”

For more than 30 years, Moss Adams has provided tax, assurance, consulting and compliance services to financial institutions, including hedge funds, mortgage companies, credit union start-ups and traded organizations with assets of over $10 billion. Marquis Banking Partners’ operational and strategic planning work has served clients throughout the Rocky Mountain region for eight years.

Moss Adams Marquis Banking Advisors will broaden the merged firms’ consulting capabilities in: board advisory consulting, enterprise risk management, IT and security assessments, loan reviews, due diligence support services, operational and internal auditing, regulatory compliance outsourcing and consulting and strategic planning.

“Moss Adams Marquis Banking Advisors will supply integrated, end-to-end solutions the financial services industry demands to solve its diverse and growing needs,” said Lisa Johannes, CEO of Marquis Banking Partners. “Moss Adams brings a high level of credibility to the marketplace and is a tremendous partner and valuable asset to this new venture and its clients.”

The two firms have previously collaborated on consulting projects and joint speaking engagements at industry events and trade association meetings.
