New AccuFund Accounting Suite Features Task Scheduler and Payroll Updates

Nonprofit-focused financial reporting and accounting software maker AccuFund Inc. has released Version 4.04 of its flagship accounting suite, which includes a new task scheduler module and payroll enhancements that feature Internet-based time clocks.

The new task scheduler allows users to run a financial report or print statements to be scheduled for a specified date and time or on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Users can also offload the processing of reports to off-peak hours so that AccuFund resources employed by other users are not impacted during peak time.

Time clocks are also now integrated in the AccuFund Accounting Suite and accessed through the payroll module or employee portal. By using a proximity card or a biometric reader that scans fingerprints, employees can log in and enter their time and enter job codes, while supervisors can easily review and approve employees' time.

The payroll module now provides the ability to do automatic accrual at month’s end when a payroll period overlaps the next month or year. Employees can also include a memo on their timesheets explaining the work they did or why they worked overtime.

In addition, the AccuFund Accounting Suite 4.04 has a new accounts receivable feature added in the cash receipts module that allows a payment to an invoice to be applied in full or on a line-item basis. Any remaining line items on the invoice would then be included in a new invoice.

“Running reports and doing payroll are basic tasks, yet because they are also the most inconvenient and time-consuming, our customers look to us to help make those tasks simpler,” said AccuFund president Peter Stam. “As always, we keep making enhancements to the AccuFund Accounting Suite that will empower our users to do their jobs as effortlessly as possible, giving them more time to focus on more important objectives such as following their mission or meeting clients' needs.”

AccuFund Accounting Suite Version 4.04 is available in both Standard and Professional editions, starting at $2,995.00 and $6,595.00, respectively.
