Jeremy Newman has been appointed as a non-executive chairman at the global accountancy network TCS Global, Portsmouth.

Warren Averett’s Jesse Slaton, has been appointed, as the 2013 President of the Alabama Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.

COLORADO

Shannon Gilbert has joined RubinBrown LLP, Denver, as a manager in the firm’s tax services group, while Jason Soodsma joined the firm as a manager in the firm’s assurance services group.

CONNECTICUT

Michael D’Addio and Gail D’Addio have joined Marcum LLP, New Haven, as principal and a director, respectfully. … The Deloitte Foundation has awarded $25,000 grants to ten top Ph.D. candidates from the Deloitte Foundation's annual Doctoral Fellowships in Accounting program. FLORIDA

Linda Harding, who is CPAmerica International’s Director of Tax, has been appointed chair of the Office of Professional Responsibility subgroup for the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC) for 2013. Harding has also been appointed to the AICPA Tax Legislation and Policy Committee for 2013.

NEVADA

Clark Blackman II, CPA and founder of Houston-based Alpha Wealth Strategies, received the 2012 Personal Financial Planning Distinguished Service Award from the AICPA. Blackman accepted the award during the Institute’s 2013 Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference in Las Vegas.

NEW HAMPSHIRE
