Masuzyo Mulenga of HLB Reliance, Zambia, has won the International Accounting Bulletin Awards in the “Young Accountant of the Year” category.  

CALIFORNIA

Kenneth R. Ames, a tax advisory partner with White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP, has received a 2012 Super Star Award / “Hustle Award” from the California State Assembly for his work at the California Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad.  He also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the County of San Diego and a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Carlsbad. … John Gosch has joined Prager Metis International LLC as partner in its Los Angeles office. Gosch will concentrate on providing business consulting and financial planning services to both domestic and international businesses and individuals.

FLORIDA

CBIZ Kirkland, Russ, Murphy & Tapp made several new hires throughout firm. Michael Gauthier, Crystal Feast, Tyler Jenny, Jeff Wombacher, Stephanie Oyler, Tim Groth, Rubin Cruz, Mark Lichon, David Juan and John Lazarz will all focus on providing audit services for Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.

Richard Conway has joined Postlethwaite & Netterville, Louisiana, as an associate director in the firm’s consulting division.

Patrick Pilch has joined BDO Consulting as a managing director in the firm’s health care consulting practice. Pilch previously worked at PwC LLP as a senior leader in its health care advisory service practice. … Stan Hales and Andy Martyn has joined Ernst & Young LLP’s financial services transfer pricing group.

OHIO

Tiffany Herbert has joined BCG &Company as manager in the firm’s forensic and valuation services practice.

TEXAS

David Rostov has been appointed the new CFO of Avalara, the Bainbridge Island-based provider of sales tax and compliance automation services.

WASHINGTON D.C.

James Turley, global chairman and chief executive officer of Ernst & Young, won the Crystal Leadership Award from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.
