Prof. Linda de Beer has been approved as the chair of the Consultative Advisory Group to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board by the Public Interest Oversight Board on the recommendation of the members of the IAASB CAG. The approval of Prof. de Beer extends her leadership, the first term of which commenced on Oct. 1, 2010, for an additional 18-month period that will end on March 31, 2015. … Michele Amato, a partner at Friedman LLP, has been selected by the Center for Audit Quality to serve on the CAQ Professional Practice Executive Committee. … Branden Elmendorf joins BST as a senior tax associate. … Donald Zief has joined WeiserMazars as a managing director in its real estate group.

Emily Richards, a senior associate at SS&G’s Akron office, recently became a member of The University of Akron George W. Daverio School of Accountancy Junior Advisory Board.

OKLAHOMA

Karin French, national managing partner of international standards for Grant Thornton LLP, has been appointed to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board for a three-year term beginning January 1.

PENNSYLVANIA

Duane Brazuk has joined Wouch, Maloney & Co. LLP as a tax manager. Brazuk will manage all aspects of tax engagement for various entities and individual clients.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Michael Gianoni has been named president and chief executive officer of Blackbaud Inc, effective Jan. 13, 2014. Gianoni will also join the Blackbaud board of directors, effective upon becoming chief executive officer. Anthony Boor, who has served as interim president and chief executive officer since August 31, 2013, will maintain that role until Jan. 13, 2014, after which he will continue to serve as chief financial officer and senior vice president, finance and administration.

TENNESSEE
