Peterson Sullivan Acquires Davenny

Peterson Sullivan LLP expanded its Seattle practice with the addition of Davenny & Associates PS.

"Bob Davenny has a tremendous reputation," Peterson Sullivan’s partner Chris Russell said in a statement. "We hope to take his expertise, combine it with ours, and expand our service abilities in order to better serve our clients."

Robert (Bob) Davenny, Jr., initially started his accounting career at Ernst & Young as a tax partner in charge of the firm’s entrepreneurial service group. He later branched out on his own to create Davenny & Associates in 1992. The firm provides tax preparation, consulting and business advisory services to real estate, elder care facilities, closely-held businesses and high wealth individuals.

The addition of Davenny & Associates will boost Peterson Sullivan’s staff to more than 100 in its downtown Seattle office.

Peterson Sullivan intends to pursue more acquisitions throughout the Puget Sound area. The firm, which is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary, made its first acquisition in October 2010. The firm added the Seattle office of Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co. PC, which motivated the firm to strike more deals. "Our ideal candidate is a firm with clients that can benefit from our existing structure and can bring additional industry expertise and service offerings to our current clients,” Russell noted.

Peterson Sullivan provides services to middle-market public and private companies, nonprofit organizations, and high net worth individuals.
