Raffa Joins Intacct Channel

Washington, D.C. (May 20, 2011)

By Seth Fineberg, Accounting Today

Long-time Microsoft Dynamics GL and SL reseller Raffa has signed an agreement to represent cloud financial management and accounting applications provider Intacct.

Raffa P.C. ranked 86th on Accounting Today’s 2011 Top 100 Firms report, with $33.26 million in revenue. The tech consultancy practice also ranked 80th on Accounting Today’s 2010 VAR 100 report.

Raffa has noticed increased demand for cloud-based financial products in recent months, particularly within its niche focus of nonprofit and professional services clients, and decided to take on a cloud product.

“I can think of a number of deals we lost over the past few months because the standard on-premise or even hosted solution was not what the client was looking for,” said Raffa technology practice partner Seth Zarny. “Lots of groups want to be totally in the cloud. This fits some real niches where we miss with some of the products we handle. The idea of a client coming to us saying, ‘I know [Dynamics] SL has a great project accounting piece, but I don’t need that level of sophistication. What do I do?’ I think Intacct is a great option for them, particularly anyone looking to do project accounting and many nonprofits as well.”

Zarny noted that his firm has a strong outsourced accounting practice and may consider using Intacct for that purpose in the future.
