Ryan Buys Thomson Reuters Property Tax Services Business

Global tax services firm Ryan LLC has acquired the Property Tax Services business from Thomson Reuters for an undisclosed amount.

The deal will add an estimated 600 property tax and unclaimed property professionals.

"In just 22 years, Ryan has become the largest firm dedicated to corporate tax services, capturing substantial market share from competitive firms that have been operating for more than 150 years," Ryan chairman and CEO Brint Ryan said in a statement. "As this acquisition launches an exciting new phase of global growth for our firm, all of us remain committed to providing our clients world-class service and superior results."

Ryan currently generates more than $350 million in revenues and has at least 1,600 employees who work with clients in more than 40 countries. It recently branched out into India where 145 of its professionals offer a Center of Tax Excellence to its clients. India serves as an entryway into South Asia, while extending the firm's indirect tax practice to support emerging markets such as China.
