The new addition comes with 45 professionals, which doubles SS&G’s numbers in the Chicago market.
SLSF is expected to boost SS&G’s restaurant, health care, real estate, and nonprofit practices.
SLSF’s managing partner, Michael Perlman, will serve as managing director of SS&G’s newest office in Skokie, Ill., and will lead its Chicagoland operations.
“SLSF is a great firm with terrific clients, and we’re excited to begin a new year with such a stellar group,” SS&G managing director Gary Shamis said in a statement.
SLSF marks the third Chicago addition for SS&G. The first took place in 2010 when it added a Des Plaines office. It later followed up in 2011 by adding an office in downtown Chicgo.
“When we entered the market in October 2010, we naturally planned for growth. But the rate at which we’ve experienced it has surpassed all expectations,” Shamis said.
