Small Business Lender Offers Referral Bonuses to Accountants and Tax Preparers

Biz2Credit, an online credit provider for small businesses, has launched a partnership program for CPAs and other accountants and tax preparers who refer their small business clients for loans.

The company has established a dedicated CPA portal at http://www.biz2credit.com/cpa-portal/partner-with-biz2credit.html that accountants can visit and refer their clients for working capital and expansion financing. The company said Tuesday it has arranged more than $850 million in small business loans since 2007.

Accountants who refer clients can receive referral fees of 20 to 30 percent of the total transaction fee that Biz2Credit earns when a small business loan closes, according to the company. For CPAs who foresee the possibility of arranging funding deals for multiple small businesses, Biz2Credit said it is offering the opportunity for CPAs to “white label” their own Web sites and thus offer small business lending directly to their clients.

“Every year, the small business clients of CPAs and other tax preparers wind up owing money to the IRS,” said Biz2Credit CEO Rohit Arora in a statement.  “Unfortunately, these small business owners often do not have the cash on hand to pay their tax bill and other financial obligations. Our platform enables CPAs to help their clients obtain quick access to cash through short-term loans, merchant cash advances, or business lines of credit. In the end, accountants are able to provide added value and potentially open a new revenue stream during times during the year when they themselves may face cash flow issues. Meanwhile, clients of CPAs are able to secure the capital they need to grow. Everybody wins.”

Biz2Credit said it has arranged partnerships with more than three dozen accountants who have referred clients in need of working capital. A number of them have opted for the white labeling option to increase their revenue by offering funding to their clients.
