Reality TV star Jon Gosselin has been hit with a $39,000 tax lien, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

Gosselin, whose large family was the subject of the TLC channel’s hit series “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” split with his wife Kate Gosselin in a headline-making divorce in 2009. A tax lien filed recently by Pennsylvania's tax department in Berks County, Pa., where he resided, indicates that he still owes $39,141.82 in taxes and other fees from that year, according to TMZ.

Kate Gosselin filed suit for divorce against the father of their sextuplets and two other children after tabloids revealed that he had been having an affair with her plastic surgeon’s daughter.

In late September 2009, Gosselin was ordered to pay $22,000 a month in child support for the eight children. He was sued the following month by TLC for breach of contract, claiming he had cost the cable TV channel more than $30,000 as a result of his breach of contract. Gossip sites reported earlier this year that he was in arrears on child support for over $3,500.
