To help customers potentially affected by Hurricane Sandy, Thomson Reuters has reached out to users in 16 states with an offer to set firms up on their Virtual Office CS platform, giving them free access to their CS Professional Suite products and data as well as MS Office.

Thomson Reuters is waving all Virtual Office CS set-up fees and providing access to the Virtual Office CS environment "to all individuals in affected firms for the next 60 days," according to Scott Fleszar, vice president of strategic marketing at Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting. "Virtual Office CS is ideal for getting firms back up and running if their physical office location is no longer functional, they need to support remote staff, etc."

The company is making the offer to firms and individuals in South Carolina, North Carolina, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC.

Thomson Reuters also offers free replacement software, including free shipping, and uninterrupted service for customers whose licenses expire before they can resume business. For more information, visit their disaster recovery page.
