AICPA Site Highlights CPA Services for Small Business

The American Institute of CPAs has opened a new Web site that showcases the value that CPAs can provide to small business clients.

The new site, cpapowered.org, expands on the #CPAPOWERED campaign that the AICPA launched last year to highlight CPA expertise.

The site emphasizes the services that CPAs can provide to small businesses in areas such as strategic planning, compliance reporting and financial management to help small businesses survive in today’s economy.

In addition, the site includes a series of videos entitled "CPA Secrets to a Better Business," starting with two videos on Acquiring Financing and Preventing Employee Theft, along with articles, checklists and tools for providing small business services. Other materials offer a starting point for small business owners to learn the advantages of working with a CPA. The site also includes a tool to help find a local CPA.

“Our message for small business owners is you don’t have to go it alone,” said AICPA vice president of firm services and global alliances Mark Koziel in a statement. “When you’re #CPAPOWERED, you have a trusted business adviser at your side.”

The AICPA plans to add more videos and materials over the next few months on other services that CPAs can offer to small business clients.
