SouthWare Innovations Joins Open Systems

Business software provider Open Systems announced that Auburn, Ala.-based SouthWare Innovations will join the company, effective Jan. 1.

SouthWare has produced accounting and ERP systems for many sectors within the manufacturing, distribution and field service industries. With this merger, the SouthWare team will continue providing their clients solutions for wholesale distribution, point-of-sale, equipment sales and services, and enhancing their business software products.

“Since 1984, SouthWare has been solving business challenges with their software solutions,” stated Open Systems CEO Michael Bertini. “They currently offer over 32 applications, and have loyal clients and partners who depend upon their expertise. Our combined skills and resources will create many growth opportunities for the SouthWare team, Open Systems, and all of our clients.”

Open Systems provides business, accounting, CRM, ERP and mobile software for organizations across industries, including distribution, manufacturing and nonprofit. The company’s products include include Microsoft .NET- and SQL Server-based TRAVERSE for the Microsoft platform and Java-based OSAS for Windows, Mac and Linux users.
