More than 8,000 square feet of interior office space has been completely renovated and will be configured with state-of-the-art technologies. The new facility will serve as the firm’s headquarters, accommodating employees from both of CTM’s Riverwoods and McHenry, IL, offices. … Bloomberg BNA’s Fixed Assets Web software has been released. The software adds support for the new IRS Tangible Property Regulations and includes several new user features. Version 2014.1 of the software gives firms the information needed to improve transparency and more easily track assets from acquisition to disposal.

KENTUCKY

The list for 2014 Best Public Accounting Firms for Women is out. Firms with at least 40 employees, where women comprise about 38 percent of top leaders, made the list. Firms listed in alphabetical order can be found here

MAINE

Baker Newman Noyes has expanded its Portland headquarters to meet the firm’s growth and expanding office culture. The move represents a 10 percent expansion of the firm’s space across two floors and accommodates both growth in workforce and a shift in office culture. The firm partnered with the building’s owner, Olympia Equity Investors, and SMRT Architects and Engineers to create a working environment that provides its more than 140 local employees and principals more space and better use of technology with an emphasis on bringing more natural light into the offices.

BKD LLP’s Leadership Conference 2014 took place this week in St. Louis. Approximately 900 partners and employees attended the three-day event at the Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel and America’s Center, creating a significant economic impact for one of BKD’s major markets.
