AccuFund updates software, redesigns appearance

AccuFund, which provides financial software to nonprofit organizations, has updated the user interface of its AccuFund Accounting Suite.

Version 6.01 of the software features what the company calls a simpler, standardized design. Fonts are larger to make text easier to read, icons in the toolbar have been redesigned to be easier to understand, and all windows now have a consistent appearance.

The main new feature in the Version 6.01 interface is the color themes. The system has 25 different color combinations that each user can choose from for their individual color scheme. Changing the theme will immediately change the colors used in any open window. The theme colors are stored by database, allowing users to have a different theme color for each database.

The Accounting Suite’s Core system also features several new capabilities. The software now saves user preferences, so theme color, password, accounting information and other settings are stored in the database rather than on the workstation only.

Users can reconfigure the way they do data entry, moving objects around on the grid whether they are in the browser or data entry area. Grids can be copied to a clipboard for transfer directly to a spreadsheet, and all new settings are retained.

Default settings in “browse” now show the most-searched terms as the default. A filter button in each browse window opens a new window. New criteria can be entered here to set new values that will be saved for the next time the user opens the browse window. Users can also return to the default set of values at any time by clicking the reset button in the filter window.

“Our number one goal with every upgrade is to provide greater convenience, ease-of-use and flexibility for our users,” stated Peter Stam, president of AccuFund, Inc. “The Version 6.01 interface is modern, containing the icons users expect in their applications. We've brought it in line with the Windows 10 standard, providing a look users are very familiar with while also delivering simpler navigation to further enhance the system's usability.”
