App of the Week: Pocket

The Web is full of treasures, and anytime you go surfing you're likely to unearth one or two or a dozen. But not all Internet treasures are the same: Some you want to keep forever, and that's what you have bookmarks for. Some, however (and probably most) are perishable -- things you want to look at once but not right now, since your boss just walked in.

That's where Pocket comes in. Originally called it Read It Later (which is still the name of the company that develops it), it makes it easy for you to save stuff from your desktop, smartphone or tablet so you can access it later. You can save articles, videos, images, text or pretty much just about anything to your Pocket list, and get back to it whenever you have a minute.

Pocket integrates with over 500 others apps, so you save directly from them, and there are versions of its mobile app for iPhones, iPads, Android devices, and Kobo e-readers.
