BlumShapiro has combined with the Newton, Mass.-based firm Friedman, Suvalle & Salomon PC.
The merger, which closed on Jan. 1, 2014, has allowed BlumShapiro to expand and strengthens its position as a leading firm in the region.

Friedman, Suvalle & Salomon will take on the BlumShapiro name and maintain its office in Newton.

BlumShapiro will now have offices in Boston, Quincy and Newton, Mass., West Hartford and Shelton, Conn., and Providence, R.I.
