AFRICA

PrimeGlobal has added two new member firms in Africa to the association’s Europe, Middle East & Africa Region: DMC Associates of Nairobi, Kenya, and PIM & Co. of Kampala, Uganda. DMC Associates is a mid-tier accounting firm that provides audit, tax and financial consultancy services to a wide range of clientele. Revik doo joins HLB International in Sarajevo. Established in 1998, the firm provides services in the industry, retail and wholesale, financial institutions sectors (banks, insurance, microcredit organisations, securities) as well as public sector and NGOs. Partners are Big Four-trained.

CHINA

PrimeGlobal has added two new member firms in Mainland China to the association’s Asia Pacific and Oceania Region. S.J. FRANCE

COGEP joins HLB International with offices covering about one third of the French territory, in the North West of the country. Established in 1971, the firm, which provides accounting, audit, tax and a large variety of advisory services, is today one of the country’s top ten financial services firms. The American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants has announced that its Innovation in Women’s Programming Award was recently given to KPMG LLP at the 2014 Women’s Accounting and Leadership Conference. It is given by AWSCPA for innovations in supporting and promoting women in the accounting profession.

PANAMA

Trejos, Egan & Asociados, established in 2007, joins HLB International where it will find opportunities to introduce the tax benefits of Panama to international business in addition to providing audit, accounting and advisory services.

SWEDEN

The IIA Research Foundation 2014 Larry Sawyer Award was handed out to at The Institute of Internal Auditors 73rd International Conference at the ExCeL London Exhibition and Conference Centre. VIRGINIA

The third annual Dixon Hughes Goodman Count the Cans food drive was held from June 20-27 and focused on collecting monetary and non-perishable food donations in an effort serve communities and families who face the struggle of hunger.
