Thirty-six percent of respondents indicated that corporate M&A will serve as the primary driver of credit markets activity in the first half of 2014, whereas KPMG's May 2013 survey found that just 18 percent expected there would be corporate M&A in the second half of 2013. Twenty-six percent of executives indicated refinancing would also result in credit market activity, dropping from 50 percent over the last six months.
