Baldwin CPAs and Eldridge, Jackson & Leedy Merge

Baldwin CPAs has agreed to merge in Eldridge, Jackson & Leedy of Flemingsburg, Ky. The combined firm will operate under the Baldwin CPAs name.

The merger will add 11 employees and three partners to Baldwin, for a total of 39 employees. Baldwin currently has locations in Richmond, Flemingsburg, Louisville, Maysville and Lexington, KY.

“We’re excited to welcome Eldridge, Jackson & Leedy, PLLC as we see a great synergy between the two that will allow us to better serve the current and future clients of both firms,” said Baldwin’s managing member and one of Accounting Today's 2012 Managing Partner Elite, Alan Long.

"This union will bring a broader range of services and expertise,” said Tim Eldridge, managing member of Eldridge, Jackson & Leedy. “We have served our region with professional accounting services since 1987. We have always tried to do what's best for our clients and our community. We feel this merger will be good for all of us. We will be bringing together all of the talented staff from both firms to bring that expertise to a much wider geographic base.”

Allan Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group, advised both firms on the merger. “Baldwin is living proof that the merger frenzy taking place in the accounting profession is not just about the big firms,” said Koltin. [Baldwin] have in a short period of time developed a reputation throughout greater Kentucky that that they have the kind of firm where entrepreneurs can thrive and together the combined firm can grow and prosper at an even faster rate. More importantly, the mergers have consistently provided additional value added services for the clients and greater growth opportunities for their people. I would expect to see many strategic mergers coming from Baldwin in the near future.”

Baldwin CPAs’ services include, but are not limited to, accounting for businesses and individuals, bookkeeping and payroll, tax planning and preparation, audits, business valuations, certified fraud examinations, forensic accounting and litigation services, employee benefit plan audits and wealth services.
