Baldwin CPAs to Merge in Humphrey & Co.

Baldwin CPAs is expanding in Central Kentucky by merging in Humphrey & Co. PLLC in Lexington.

The deal, which will be effective Nov. 1, will add four new employees to Baldwin, including one new partner. The Humphrey team has over fifty years of experience in accounting, tax and management consulting services in a wide variety of industries.

Baldwin will relocate its current Lexington office to Humphrey’s office on Majestic Drive.

"We are excited about joining Baldwin CPAs because it ensures the continued success of our clients and staff," said Chris Humphrey, managing member of Humphrey & Co.

“We are excited to add the team from Humphrey & Co. to our team. The synergies of the two firms are great. We have strategically been seeking an office in the Lexington area and this merger fulfills that part of our plan,” said Alan Long, managing member of Baldwin CPAs. “We look forward to expanding the service offerings to the Humphrey & Co. clients and to grow the office in the Lexington market.”

“At a time when the country’s largest firms dominate the merger frenzy, Baldwin continues to show that mergers can also be a great growth strategy for smaller and midsized firms as well,” commented Allan D. Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group, who advised both firms on the merger. “Baldwin is quickly becoming one of Kentucky’s larger firms and demonstrating a great track record of successfully integrating numerous mergers. Chris Humphrey has a great reputation in the Lexington market and he will be a great addition to the Baldwin firm.”

At the start of 2016, Baldwin merged in a firm in Louisville. (See “Baldwin CPAs Merges in Anderson, Bryant, Lasky & Winslow.”)
