CliftonLarsonAllen to Merge in TrustCC

CliftonLarsonAllen is merging in the information security consulting firm TrustCC, effective Sept. 1.

TrustCC was founded in 2001 as Trust Consulting and Compliance and specializes in helping financial institutions identify security vulnerabilities. Based in University Place, Wash., the firm has conducted IT audits and security assessments for more than 150 financial institutions.

The firm will add 19 professionals to CliftonLarsonAllen, including TrustCC CEO Tom Schauer.

“Security is ever-changing and complex,” Schauer said in a statement Monday. “Because of that, we continually challenge ourselves to bring a unique technical approach in order to uncover more vulnerabilities than traditional methods. When we came across CLA—a firm that we believe has equally strong and complementary strengths—we knew we needed to take a close look to determine if, together, we could serve clients better.”

Minneapolis-based CLA ranked 10th on Accounting Today's 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $598.4 million in annual revenue.

Beginning Sept. 1, Schauer and the TrustCC team will operate as CLA, maintaining a virtual office presence in the Pacific Northwest.
