CALIFORNIA

Armanino LLP, San Ramon, launched a corporate finance practice area, with services that include sell-side representation to help owners and investors maximize value in an exit transaction. The firm can also assist with intellectual property and patent sales through its “Auction90 sales process, by which it completes a competitive auction within 90 days. Separately, the firm held its fifth annual nonprofit symposium, with events in both Northern and Southern California on July 13 and July 14.

CYPRUS

Online audit confirmation provider Confirmation.com has opened an office in Nicosia, with the goal of expanding its market position in Cyprus, and other European and Middle Eastern markets.

 

FLORIDA

Thomas Howell Ferguson PA CPAs has joined accounting association CPAmerica International. The firm has 85 employees, and offices in Tallahassee and Tampa.

 

LOUISIANA

The Society of Louisiana CPAs announced its 2016-17 Board of Directors: Ralph Bender will serve as chair; Gina Rachel as chair-elect; Kandace Mauldin as treasurer; Gary Dressler as a member at-large; Brook Harvey as immediate past chair; and Mona Fordham, Jason MacMorran, Curtis Meaux, Jay Montalbano and Paul M. Riggs as members-at-large.

 

NEW JERSEY

Rotenberg Meril has expanded its presence at its Saddle Brook, New Jersey location to over 17,000 square feet by leasing approximately 3,000 additional square feet. The firm’s Financial Outsourcing Department, which serves emerging public companies and privately held businesses, has been re-located to the new space. … Financial Executives International, Morristown, elected a new slate of executive officers and members of the Board of Directors: Prat Bhatt will serve as national board chair, Linda K. Zukauckas as vice chair, Ellen R.M. Boyer as treasurer, John G. Panetta as secretary, and Mitch Danaher as immediate past chair.

CBIZ held its Third Annual CBIZ Private Equity Golf Championship at the Bethpage State Park Black Course on June 28.

 

NORTH CAROLINA

Dixon Hughes Goodman donated 593,464 pounds of food and more than 1,150 service hours to local hunger relief organizations across its 12-state footprint over two weeks. In total, the firm has donated a total of 3,795,814 pounds of food over five years through Count the Cans. The firm also donated $36,742 to the OneOrlando Fund and the American Red Cross West Virginia Region.

UNITED KINGDOM

Global association Morison KSi unveiled a new its brand identity, including a new logo. As part of the branding strategy, member firms will now have an “endorsement logo” that they can show on their marketing materials and Web sites.
